Even we are all in SIngapore, we are so caught up with the day to day activities and our own family that we only get to meet for a proper meal over the Chinese New Year festive period. Home made food – simple yet splendid. Key mentions – noodles wrapped in lettuce, best served with piping hot soup. And the special lou hei yusheng with a rabbit presentation surrounded by 11 slices of salmon to symbolise the 12 earthly elements with nice blend of Thai sweet/chilli sauce with lime sauce and spread of typical veg and unique combination of star fruit slices.
Least to say, we ended with a bottle of Red Wine (1993) and White Wine (1998) which I would readily recommend the former.
