IXUS has been established & known for its slimness. My first touch of it – cool. Full metallic black body and strong flash. Battery life to last for approximately 120 shots with 60% flash. I am very marveled for its ability to detect the shot and adjust the settings automatically – object / portrait / scenic modes. One drawback is the weight and that could be due to the metallic body and its non-touch screen LCD panel. But at a $200+ range, it has all the useful features & size needed by any common photographer like me.
